Dr. Lawrence LaPointe, Chief Executive Officer
CG is managed by co-founder and CEO, Dr. Lawrence LaPointe. Prior to launching Clinical Genomics, Dr. LaPointe was a co-founder of Enterix Inc in 1997 where he was a member of the executive team until that company was sold in 2006. As General Manager from start-up until 2000, he introduced the world's first dedicated colorectal cancer screening service using a novel kit developed by that company. Previous to co-founding Enterix, Dr. LaPointe served as Lab Manager of the Centre for Molecular Imaging Research at Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard Medical School). Lawrence LaPointe holds a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics (Flinders University, Australia) and a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences (Florida State University, USA). He is an inventor of several patents and author of numerous scientific articles, conference presentations, and invited talks.
Dr. Lindsay Collinson, Commercial Operations Manager
Dr. Collinson joined Clinical Genomics in 2009 to support commercial development and general management of the business. He has worked in the medical devices and clinical software sectors for over 10 years in product development, sales, and management roles. Prior to joining Clinical Genomics he served as the Australia & New Zealand Sales Manager, Clinical Systems Service at GE Healthcare; and held various new business roles at Health Communication Network, a leading Australian clinical software company. He has several years' research experience in the fields of cytokine biology and blood coagulation working for the Heart Research Institute, NSW and the Faculty of Medicine, UNSW and holds a Ph.D. and B.Sc. (Hons) in Molecular Biology from the University of New South Wales.
Dr. Susanne Pedersen, Chief Research Scientist
Dr. Pedersen is responsible for managing CG research and development. Dr. Pedersen joined Clinical Genomics in early 2007 after six years as a Senior Research Scientist and Project Leader at Proteome Systems Ltd (PSL) (Sydney) where she managed biomarker discovery in disparate fields including respiratory diseases, autoimmune disorders and cancer. Dr. Pedersen is the inventor of several biomarker-discovery method patents and holds a Ph.D. and MSc. in Molecular Biology from Copenhagen University Hospital (Copenhagen, Denmark) as well as a BSc. in Biology from Southern University of Denmark (Odense, Denmark).
Howard Chandler, Consulting Product Expert
CG is assisted by well known industry expert and co-founder, Howard Chandler. Mr Chandler co-founded Enterix in 1997 and as its founding CEO, conceived, designed and developed the InSure test and its means of manufacture. Mr Chandler has over twenty-five issued patents and is the author of numerous scientific publications. Companies that market, or have marketed, products based upon his technologies and patents include Abbott Laboratories, Beckman-Coulter Primary Care Diagnostics, Becton Dickinson, Binax, CSL, Glaxo Welcome, AMRAD-ICT, Agen Biomedical, Synbiotics, and Quest. Mr Chandler holds a M.Agr.Sc degree and Diploma of Education from the University of Melbourne.
Prof. Graeme Young, Medical Consultant
Inaugural Professor of Gastroenterology, Flinders University of South Australia; Head, Gastrointestinal Services at Flinders Medical Centre and Repatriation General Hospital, Daw Park, South Australia; Professor Young has an international reputation in colorectal cancer screening and prevention and has published approximately 200 scientific papers and articles on the subject. He is also the senior editor on the first comprehensive textbook on the prevention of bowel cancer and the only foreign member on the U.S. National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable. Professor Young has participated in and/or chairs national committees or boards of the Australian NH&MRC, Australian Cancer Society, National Cancer Control Initiative, Gastroenterological Society of Australia, the Federal Government, and private companies.
Karridale Pty Limited, Strategic Implementation
Strategic implementation is assisted by CG shareholders Peter Horrobin and Richard Sands of the Sydney-based company Karridale Pty Limited, continuing a similar long-standing role with CG predecessor Enterix Inc. They bring to CG extensive international banking and corporate advisory experience. Mr. Sands is a Chartered Accountant and has held senior roles with Lloyds Bank. Mr. Horrobin is a director of Clinical Genomics whose professional particulars are set forth below.

Robert Max Mawhinney, Chairman and Director
Max Mawhinney was a co-founder of Enterix and has an impressive record of successful biotech commercialisation. In addition to his experience managing technology start-ups, Mr Mawhinney is a leading property developer in Australia and previously founded ICA Properties which was acquired by Valad Ltd in 2004. Mr Mawhinney currently serves on several company Boards and is the Managing Director of Blueridge Property Pty Ltd.
Peter Horrobin, Director
Peter Horrobin, of Sydney-based company Karridale Pty Limited, is a commercial lawyer by training (with the predecessor of Mallesons Stephen Jaques); subsequently Head of the Consultants Section of the Asian Development Bank (Headquarters-Manila, Philippines); General Counsel of the Australian Government's Export Finance and Insurance Corporation; and Executive Director of the London Merchant Bank S.G. Warburg & Co.
Paul L. Rust, Director
Paul L Rust is Vice President, Point of Care Testing for Quest Diagnostics Incorporated. Mr. Rust has previously held numerous senior management roles with leading healthcare companies including SmithKline Beecham and later SmithKline Beckman Clinical Laboratories. For the last decade he has been Vice President at Quest serving as VP Sales and Marketing, VP Corporate Health and Wellness and International. From 2003 until taking his current role, Mr. Rust served as Managing Director, Southern California. Mr Rust graduated from the University of Southern Connecticut with a BA (Geography). He is a past president of the Biomedical Marketing Association and New York State Clinical Laboratory Association and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the California Clinical Lab Association.
Leo C. Farrenkopf, Director
Leo Farrenkopf has served as a Vice President and Secretary of Quest Diagnostics Incorporated since 1993 with principal responsibilities in general corporate, securities laws and business development. Mr Farrenkopf began his legal career as an associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in New York City from 1975-1980, then Kramer Levin Nessen Kamin & Frankel in New York City from 1980 to 1985 and was General Counsel and Secretary of Maxxam Group Inc. (New York Stock Exchange listed) from 1985 to 1987. In 1974 Mr Farrenkopf graduated from Columbia Law School (New York City) with a J.D. degree, where he served as the Articles and Book Reviews Editor of the Columbia Law Review after graduating from Trinity College (Hartford Connecticut) in 1967 with a BA Honors in Classics.
